In the centre of the Fairy Tail guild, the glisten of ice danced in spirals, earning the oohs and ahhs of Happy, who stood in the middle of them. With the flick of his wrist, shimmering glass-like flakes protruded the ice spirals in a mesmerizing fashion.
Gray lowered his arms slowly, similar to a conductor finishing his orchestra, and smiled. With a sense of approval, he immediately side glanced at you, yearning for your impressed look. Instead, he found you at a table chatting with Natsu.
The annoyance of his unrequited love caused his fists to tighten, but quickly subsided as soon as he reverted his eyes back to you. He always wondered what made you draw his every thought, dream and bidding. But that didn't matter now.
You. Didn't. Even. Freakin. Look.

"Uhh, Gray? You can stop with the ice." Happy said as the ice spirals began to choke the blue Exceed.
"I don't have any fish." With a dismissing gesture, Gray calmly stomped off, sat down at a nearby wooden table, and began to have a mental argument.
Did she even see it? I practiced all night for this.
WAIT. Maybe she did but ignored it because it was boring!
Then why is she talking to idiot Natsu? He's as smart as a dog.
Damn it. Why won't she just only look at me? I'm way better than Natsu.
Could...could she have feelings for him?
Oh god. Maybe I should stop with the spirals and try a checkered pattern.
His thoughts were interrupted by loud shouting. From one ear, Gray heard Happy pleading in fear.
Probably about fish.
In the other, he heard, yes, heard, Natsu anal fisting the sky. It took Gray a few seconds to contemplate how the bloody hell you could like a stupid idiot who freakin anal fists the sky. Blinded by jealousy, without even realizing it himself, Gray simply stood up, walked straight over to you and began to talk.
"(F/n)." He said. A dash of surprise reflected off your eyes, but that was all.
"Yeah?"
Ok. Now what.
A second passed by. Then two. Finally, borderline awkward silence was creeping in.
Idiot! Talk about the weather! Or checkered patterned ice! Or how Happy is choking to death right now! Anything!
What broke the seemingly life-long silence wasn't Gray, however, but you. Casually, you leaned in and whispered into his ear, earning you a scarlet blush from him.
"Mind if you leave right now?" You said bluntly without hesitation. For some reason, Gray could hear a tint of fear in your voice.
"Wait. What? Why?" The ice mage began to panic.
"Oh...You haven't seen them?"
"Seen what?"
"The death glares from Juvia."
